The AC MIL 901 is designed to meet the high shock requirements of MIL-S-901.  Like other compact tubeaxial fans, it is equipped with an aerodynamic venturi configured case.  Utilizing the unique Rotron inverted bearing system construction the axial length of the fan is limited to the minimum measurement required by the highly efficient propeller, with no further space sacrificed for the AC induction drive motor.

The MIL 901 brushless DC motor version is capable of speeds in excess of 6,000 RPM.  Like other compact tubeaxial fans, it is equipped with an aerodynamic venturi configured case.  Utilizing the unique Rotron inverted bearing system construction the axial length of the fan is limited to the minimum measurement required by the highly efficient propeller, with no further space sacrificed for the brushless DC motor and internal drive electronics.

MIL 901 fans are designed for use in electronic enclosures under severe environmental conditions in airborne, ground based, and shipboard applications. The AC drivern option is specifically designed to withstand U.S. Navy MIL-S-901 shock levels and provide quiet operation where packaging allows air to move freely.  The Brushless DC driven fan is also suitable for certain non-military applications due to its ability to operate at speeds in excess of 6000 RPM.

Tmax 90 Fans

Tmax Fans are high flow medium pressure axial flow fans specifically designed for the cooling of compact electronic and avionics equipment.  The housing and impeller are cast in a high strength aluminum alloy constituting a light, robust construction.

These fans are available in a brushless DC drive version produced with a range of operating speeds from 9,000 to 24,000 rpm or conventional 400Hz  induction motor drive with 2 and 4 pole versions.  The motors are totally enclosed, incorporating sealed for life bearings.

Tmax Fans are suitable for mounting in any attitude and can be installed using cam-clip fixings or a flange arrangement. Beaded ends for flexible duct fittings are also available. Inlet or outlet mounting is possible.

MAGNUM

The new Magnum™ 170 series of tubeaxial fans from AMETEK Rotron offers the highest proven performance to size ratio in a commercial grade fan, delivering twice the static pressure of similarly sized fans.  The lightweight, compact fans are ideally suited for electronic cooling in servers, routers, electronics and telecom racks.
The 48VDC high-performance Magnum 170 weights only 2.4 lbs. (988 grams) but delivers 365 CFM free delivery.  It has an operating voltage range of 36 to 75VDC and is UL, CSA and TUV certified.  It also features solid-state circuitry, electronic commutation, locked rotor shut down protection, low-speed warning shut down, automatic restart and optional fan performance (speed) sensor.


The I2C version of the Magnum 170 weighs only 2.1 lbs. (952 grams) and delivers an airflow of 512 CFM free delivery. The I2C version offers microprocessor controlled circuitry with an isolated 2-wire I2C/SMBus digital interface.  It features closed-loop speed control over its entire operating voltage range and nine-user selectable addresses along with locked rotor shut down protection and fuse protection for safety.
